ERW Key Stage 2 Primary Science Project

ERW is running the first of three INSET's this half term for primary schools looking at investigations in Science.

The course aims to explore how scientific investigations can be delivered in primary schools to ensure learners are developing their knowledge, skills and understanding in Science to maximum effect.

The course will be delivered by Science Leaders of Learning from ERW at one school from each county initially.

During the first INSET, primary teachers will be looking at planning and carrying out an investigation, including opportunities for literacy and numeracy development.

The course is fully funded and equipment, support will be available for the primary schools to carry out the investigations with their pupils.

It is currently restricted to the feeder schools of the host comprehensive, which at this stage is by invite only.

ERW hope to roll this out across the region in due course.

Course dates and venues are:

15 May at Crickhowell School
22 May at Bishop Gore School
23 May at Cymer Afan School
25 May at Bro Pedr School
