London Week 2017

The aspirational work experience scheme is running again this summer.

All Headteachers in Wales are invited to nominate one pupil from either year 10 or year 11 to compete for a week work experience placement in London during July 2017.

London Week 2017 is a collaboration between the Welsh Government and London-based firm Judicium Education.

It offers a week of work experience opportunities for eight secondary school pupils.

It runs from Sunday 9th July to Friday 14th July and the successful eight candidates will have all costs covered by Welsh Government and Judicium Education.

Applications will be in two parts, firstly the head teacher nominates a student along with supporting comments. Then the nominated student’s will have to submit an application, the application can be made in any format. Last year applications were received in written and video format.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 17th May.

  • Tuesday 13th June - Announcement of the successful applicants
  • Sunday 9th July - Students travel to London
  • Monday 10th July - London Week begins
  • Friday 14th July - ’Dragons’ Den’ event in Cardiff
