Digital Competence Framework – Myth Buster!

The Digital Competence Framework is the first element of the new curriculum to be introduced in Wales. It was first made available in September 2016.

During the year until July 2017, schools and settings have been responsible in familiarising themselves with the framework and will need to decide how the frame work will be transferred into practice.

Digital competence is the set of skills, knowledge and attitudes to enable confident, creative and critical use of technologies and systems.

It will enable a person to interact, collaborate and to produce work digitally with confidence.

For more information relating to concerns regarding the Digital Competence Framework see the Welsh Government’s Curriculum for Wales blog.
