National Academy for Educational Leadership

In November 2016 the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Kirsty Williams AM, announced the establishment of a new National Academy for Educational Leadership.

A Shadow Board, Chaired by Ann Keane, former HMCI Estyn, met for the first time in December 2016. The Board have started to explore the vision, principles and functions of the National Academy for Educational Leadership and now need to meet with Primary and Special School Headteachers in order to receive their direct input.

We are therefore running two half day events which will help the Board shape the future work of the National Academy for Educational Leadership.
