Training for all governors on the use and understanding of school data

An understanding of the data relating to their school is essential for governors to effectively carry out their key roles of strategic planning, target setting, monitoring and evaluation and accountability.

The training will develop governors’ understanding of the data and how to use it to improve school performance. Learning about school data and understanding what it means for the school and what needs to be done to raise standards should give governors the confidence to ask challenging questions in order to improve performance and pupil attainment.

School Self evaluation and School Development Plans

The training package prepares school leaders and stakeholders to play their roles in effective and continuous school self-evaluation. It can be used for training sessions for governors, the school leadership team and wider stakeholders in order to kick-start the self-evaluation process and offer guidance for carrying it through.

This resource is designed to help you embed ongoing rigorous self-evaluation in your school and provide a process for staff to engage with self-evaluation and the role that this plays in strategic and developmental planning.
